Be cautious with your words. Be swift with your hands and feet.

What do you do about making promises and creating hype, and things don’t happen as expected

Sometimes in life we have created hype and expectation around our plans and things have fallen through. We now retreat into a corner and pray that no one asks how things went.

We hope that everyone else kind of forgets the big announcements we were making. Not so fast! So how was it? How did it go? Where are the pictures? We went big on the announcement but delivery has fallen really short. What do you do?

Man up! Get up. It’s not about the world, it’s about you. People have too many problems of their own to stop living and be preoccupied with you. Yes there might be some laughs here and there but you will live. It is not life threatening. There are worse things in the world than embarrassment.

Get a thick skin. Life goes on. Move on to the next challenge. Next time rather under-promise or maybe even better keep much shut and keep a few cards close to your chest. People do not have to know everything that’s going on in your world, especially strangers. Be very cautious with your words. Be swift with your hands and feet.
