If you are not excelling, why?

Here are some questions to consider:

Are you excelling in whatever you are doing?

If not, why?

What’s preventing you from excelling?

Are you in your field of excellence?

What’s cramping your style?

Are you happy with things as  they are?

What are you doing about it?

  1. Andy Groves, Chairman of Intel, wrote a book many years ago called “Only the paranoid Survive”

I remember being impacted by the following, that he had to say:

    * You are the CEO of your own career. There is no big brother looking after you, so the decisions you make about your career are critical.
    * If you’re not in a company or position that is on the cutting edge, or will be on the cutting edge in the next 5 years, what are you still doing there?

I resigned from my job in the next 3 months having read this : )
